GSS was one of 21 shortlisted teams from around the world that competed in the BIS G20 TechSprint 2023. GSS was a finalist in the category for the problem statement on fighting money laundering, combating financing of terrorism, tax and sanctions evasion.
The BIS G20 TechSprint was launched last May to promote innovative solutions aimed at improving cross-border payments, reducing illicit finance risk, improving liquidity for emerging and developing economy currencies, and fostering multilateral cross-border CBDC platforms.
Identifying and developing innovative solutions to common problems has been at the heart of the BIS G20 TechSprint. The 2023 edition has again brought forward solutions to help address challenges in cross-border payments, a G20 priority.
